Cusco City is located at 3350 meter above sea level and was founded in 1300 aprox. by Manco Ccapac Inca. This city had a big palace, temples, and houses where the most important people of the Inca culture lived. In 1533 the Spanish people conquered the Inca Empire and built Catholic temples over the Inca constructions. And still today it is possible to see many buildings from the Inca and Spanish people.
Here in Cusco there are more than 30 Catholic churches and many colonial houses over the Inca buildings. A visit to Cusco City will be an unforgettable experience.

DAY 01: Receptions and transfer (airport – hotel).

this tour you will visit the fantastic cusco city and some important archaelogical sites that are close of the city.
At 13:30 pm we will pick you up from your hotel, and then we will visit one of the most important sites in Cusco: the temple of the son (Temple of Qoricacancha). Today this temple is the monastery of the Dominican order where the priests still live. Then we will continue in our private car and we will visit the archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, where the Cusquenian people celebrate the festival of the sun (INTY RAIMI). After that we will visit QENQO (Temple of the Mother Earth), and finally we will visit the temple of the water (TAMBOMACHAY).
DAY 02: SACRED VALLEY CUSCO (Pisaq – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Chinchero.
At 08:20 am we will start the sacred valley tour. First we will visit the typical and colorful Inca market in the town of PISAQ, where you can see different types of work made by local people, such as sweaters, caps, scarves, etc, all made from baby alpaca wool. . After visiting Ollantaytambo we will return to Cusco, but on the way back we will make one last stop in CHINCHERO, where we will visit one of most important Catholic churches from VI century. In this church you will see many paintings made by indigenous peoples and we will also visit the archaeological site that has the same name as the town. (Chinchero). Then we will return to Cusco.

Here we have to walk approximately 10 minutes to reach the site and see the most important sectors, such as agricultural terraces, urban and religious sectors. Here you will also see the biggest cemetery of the Quechua people from the 15th century. After visiting this important archaeological site we will continue in our bus until URUBAMBA where we will stop to enjoy our typical lunch buffet. y the afternoon we will visit the Fortress of OLLANTAYTAMBO, a giant religious, military, social, administrative and agricultural complex from the Inca times. OLLANTAYTAMBO with its narrow streets, complemented with canals unchanged since Inca times, recalls its ancient heritage
Day 03: Tour Machu Picchu Full Day (Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu – Cusco).
Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the train station in
Ollantaytambo, where we will board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes town. Here we will meet with our professional tour guide who will bring us to the bus station. From here we will take the bus that will take us to the entrance gate of the Inca city of MACHU PICCHU (one of the 7 wonders of the world). Once we arrive at Machu Picchu you will have a guided tour for about 3 hours. We will visit the most important areas of this Inca city, such as the main square, guardian”s house, temple of the three windows, inty huatana, and the urban and agricultural sectors. After the guided tour you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu alone and enough time to visit Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain if you have an entrance ticket. Finally, after visiting Machu Picchu, we will return to the city of Cusco by the same way that we left. First you will return to Aguas Calientes by bus where you can have lunch and wait for the train to return to Ollantaytambo. You have to arrive at the train station 30 minutes before the train leaves. You will travel by train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, where we will await for you for transfer by our private car to Cusco City. (hotel).
Day 04: Moray – Maras – Salineras (salt mine) 08:20 – 14:30 pm.
This day we will visit one of the most important archaeological sites, which is called
Moray and the salt mines (Salineras). We will travel by our private bus from Cusco to Moray for about 1 hour, where we will have to walk to be able to visit and understand the importance of this place. After to visit this inca ruins we will visit the colonial town of Maras fro apreciate some colonial building such us, church, casa Real etc, Then we will visit the Inca Salt Mines, where the Incas harvested salt for their consumption. After visiting these 2 important places we will return to Cusco for lunch.
Day 045: Transfer From your Hotel to Airport..
At the indicated time, we will come at your hotel to transfer you to the international airport, Alejandro Velasco Astete, in the city of Cusco.
